CITT graduate Dirk Dienelt honored as one of the best trainees in southern Hesse

The process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology from Babenhausen is among the 111 best examiners of the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce

CITT graduate Dirk Dienelt is one of the 111 apprentices with the highest score in southern Hesse. The process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology is one of more than 2,800 trainees who have successfully completed their training in IHK professions this year. The best of each profession have now been honoured for their achievements by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Darmstadt Rhein Main Necker. "The outstanding achievements are not only proof of bright minds, but also of the joy of training," said Tatjana Steinbrenner, Vice President of the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce, at the official ceremony.

With conviction and support to success

Dirk Dienelt works as a strainer in injection molding at Continental in Babenhausen. The decision for a partial qualification with the CITT was an easy one for the 51-year-old: "In the course of the changes at the location, it was important to me to obtain an official vocational qualification in order to increase my long-term chances on the job market. At the time, I didn't expect to end up being one of the best in my region, but I was very pleased."

Self-responsible learning was a particular challenge, after all, Dienelt's school days were several years ago. "I believe that only those who are convinced of the cause can be successful. In any case, the structure of the partial qualification with several modules also contributed to this. And I had great support on my way – both from Conti as an employer and from the trainers at CITT."

CITT trainer Dennis Müller accompanied Dirk Dienelt to the award ceremony: "I am very happy for Dirk about the award. He was extraordinarily committed and fun in every module. His example shows what can be achieved through will and commitment."
