Agile rooms: CITT Supports project of the Junior Managing Projects Program

On behalf of the CITT, the Juniors Managing Projects team has compiled an overview of the agile premises at Continental – including information on equipment, booking process and costs.

Many of Continental's more than 50 locations in Germany have agile premises. The fact that these can also be found at a glance now is thanks to the Juniors Managing Projects Team (JUMP), which has compiled an overview on behalf of the CITT. "Agile working in inspiring spaces has a measurably positive effect on productivity and work processes," says Lea Pesler, who is responsible for the design of CITT's workshops and training rooms as a transformation and qualification consultant. "We wanted to make it easier for interested parties to access agile work locations, but we lacked an easily accessible and informative overview of Continental's German sites. This was the birth of the project idea, the implementation of which we placed in the hands of the Junior Managing Projects Team."

The JUMP team first created an overview of the agile rooms at the individual locations – recording not only location and size, but also aspects such as furniture, equipment and costs. "In order to make this information as easily accessible as possible to all Continental employees, we have set up the 'Agile Rooms Community' on the internal communication platform ConNext," report project team members Insa Widdel, Marcel Köhler and Yannik Schmalbach.

In addition, the team has created a concept for the development and design of new agile rooms, which includes concrete recommendations regarding the furniture, equipment and an overview of the costs. "This will make it much easier for the locations to plan and set up new agile rooms in the future, so that the number will hopefully continue to grow in the future," the team said.

Info: JUMP (Juniors Managing Projects) is an internal development program of Continental Germany, in which young professionals work for several months on topics related to other areas. In doing so, they not only gain project experience, but also expand their network within the company. In a final presentation, the teams present their project results to all project sponsors as well as invited guests.
