Achieve the IHK vocational qualification in 7 modules:

Basic technical principles (5 months)
Mechanical machining (4 months)
Installation of electrical equipment (4 months)
Building assemblies and components for mechatronic systems (4 months)
Assembling and disassembling machines, plant and systems (4 months)
Commissioning and operation of mechatronic systems (4 months)
Assessment of complex mechatronic systems (3 months)

Target audience

Production workers who have no vocational qualifications or who have not worked in their professional area for at least 4 years and have been away from learning for some time.

Entry requirements

You are at least 25 years old.
You do not have a professional qualification or have not worked in your profession for at least 4 years.
You have basic German and good math skills.
In addition, you have a basic understanding of technology.

Duration

28 months full-time (37.5 hrs/week) divided into 7 modules (3–5 months each)

Process

The partial qualification as a mechatronics technician divides the contents of the training course into 7 individual modules.
Shortening the training period by 1/3 gives you the chance to obtain your vocational qualification within 28 months and receive an IHK certificate after each completed module.
During the full-time training period (Mon-Fri; 37.5 hrs/week), you will remain in your existing contract of employment and continue to receive your collective agreement wage.
